My name is Dan. For the last two years I've been wandering the world accompanied only by my laptop, phone, camera and any friends I happen to run into along the way. The world is in the throes of a revolution. Long-term job security is all but dead and the impersonal, lumbering corporate behemoths are struggling under an onslaught of agile startups rich in personality and open communication. It's an exciting time to be alive.
I've immersed myself in this global community of entrepreneurs, working with them to elevate their websites and applications to the next level. I'm a software engineer and a UX enthusiast, a photographer and a traveller. I like nothing more than a good challenge and I'm just a little obsessive about the details. I'm an artist - and code is my medium.
"The programmer, like the poet, works only slightly removed from pure thought-stuff. He builds his castles in the air, from air, creating by exertion of the imagination."
- Frederick P. Brooks
Here on this website I write about my craft, my travels, entrepreneurship (specifically, the startup I'm co-founding with my friend Jon Myers) and the incredible world that my fellow location-independent entrepreneurs live and work in.
